Many are considering backing Florida governor Rick DeSantis for President in 2024. While he is an excellent leader who has stepped up to defend Floridians from government overreach not just with COVID, but with many Democrat plans. Recently, DeSantis won a straw poll at CPAC, narrowly edging out President Trump. But despite his popularity, the idea of Donald Trump running against Joe Biden after all the corruption in the 2020 election has been revealed is an idea that makes many Americans happy — and there are numerous reasons why Trump should run in 2024.
Many have floated the idea of President Trump running for Congress in his home state of Florida in 2022. If we retake the House, this would likely result in Trump replacing crooked Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. And if we retake the Senate, we can fully defend against anything Joe Biden and the Democrats throw at us. This, of course, would not interfere with President Trump running for President in 2024. It would just give him more opportunities to remind Americans why he’s the right man for the job. So, why should Trump run in 2024?
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
Before Americans began running scared about COVID and our economy suffered, President Trump managed to increase jobs in America by a lot — over three times the numbers projected by the government’s top experts.
Under Trump, the unemployment rate dropped to 3.5 percent. The median household income rose to the highest levels since the Great Recession of 2015. On average, middle-class families enjoyed an additional $6,000 per year. Though COVID-19 ruined all of the progress we made under Trump, if we ignore those special circumstances, President Trump was better for the economy than any President since Ronald Reagan.
In fact, jobless claims under Trump his a 50-year low. This stretched across every demographic, including African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, people with disabilities, women, and even people without a high school diploma.
Trump Can Handle A Crisis
It’s no secret that the Coronavirus created a disaster we have not seen in our lifetimes. President Trump handled it magnificently. Once we knew what China had unleashed on the world, President Trump leaped into action. He suspended all travel from China, required Americans who were returning home from COVID hotspots to undergo screening and quarantine. He restricted travel to areas where COVID presented a major threat, issued travel advisories, closed the borders, and generally kept America safe from outside threats.
Trump swiftly pulled together teams of experts to keep COVID from spreading. He declared a national emergency, established a 24/7 FEMA National Response Coordination Center. He used emergency authorizations to repurpose factories to develop personal protective equipment, and coordinated emergency response to the virus nationwide. He also made sure that testing for the virus happened nationwide, helping further keep it from spreading.
President Trump’s actions reduced COVID deaths from a projected 2.2 million to a tiny fraction of that. cut off funding to the World Health Organization once it became clear that it was in China’s pocket, and demanded that the world hold China responsible for releasing this virus on the world. He got Americans back to work and helped the country heal from Democrat-led shutdowns. Overall, his response to COVID-19 is a major reason President Trump should run in 2024.
The Border
Border security was perhaps one of President Trump’s most important issues. While Joe Biden is inviting illegals to pour across, spreading COVID and increasing crime rats in popular border crossing areas, Trump did the opposite. Illegals say that they would not be coming across if Trump was still President — and there are many reasons for this.
President Trump build over 400 miles of border wall to keep illegals from crossing, reducing illegal crossings by almost 90 percent. This effort was helped along by his decision to deploy almost 5,000 troops to the southern border and his ability to convince Mexico to also deploy tens of thousands of soldiers and national guardsmen to protect their side of the border. He ended Catch-and-Release.
President Trump, unlike Biden, ensured that immigration laws were followed. He signed an executive order to strip federal funding from sanctuary cities. He deported illegals quickly and effectively. Under Trump, the United States prosecuted a record number of immigration crimes. President Trump has done more to keep our nation safe from criminal gangs than any previous President.
These are just a few of the many, many reasons Trump should run in 2024. Under Joe Biden and the Democrats, we are losing the respect of world leaders. Americans are suffering. Our border security has almost completely collapsed. It’s time to bring America back to a state of prominence in the world. And with another term of President Trump’s presidency, we can truly make America Great Again.
