(TheConservativeNews.org) – When you hear references to “the election,” the presidential vote is likely the first thing that springs to mind. However, there were Congressional elections on November 3 as well. Like the presidential election, their ultimate outcome remains uncertain. Both of Georgia’s Senate seats are still up for grabs and will be decided by runoff elections on January 5.
On Saturday, December 19, President Donald Trump announced his intention to hold a rally for the two Republican candidates in the elections on January 4. Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are running against Democrat challengers Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. This will be the second time Trump has stumped for Loeffler and Perdue, having appeared in Valdosta, GA, on December 5.
Given the ongoing legal battles around the presidential vote, it’s remarkable that Trump remains so committed to the Republican cause and the protection of America’s interests.
It’s difficult to overstate the importance of these runoff votes. Unless at least one of the Republican candidates can claim a seat, the Senate will be split 50/50 between Conservative and Liberal representatives. Coupled with the Democratic majority in the House, this would massively reduce Republican influence in Congress.
