(TheConservativeNews.org) – Almost a month after election day, the debate around the fitness of our voting systems for their purpose still rages on. While many commentators insist they’re entirely safe, there is a growing number of concerns about the potential for their exploitation.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is one figure who has repeatedly expressed skepticism about the intentions some representatives have in relation to our voting procedures. On Wednesday, December 2, he discussed concerns he had about proposed Democrat changes to voting laws. These could include mandated mail-in voting and the discontinuation of photo ID requirements.
This discussion is likely to persist right up until our next set of midterm elections in 2022. Perhaps it will continue until the next presidential vote in 2024. While most people would agree there’s an obvious need for some kind of voter identity verification, there appears to be a certain cohort of Democrats determined to do away with it altogether.
