(TheConservativeNews.org) – It seems supporting former President Donald Trump is one of the worst crimes you can commit nowadays. Even republishing statements of Trump’s can get you in trouble, apparently. Earlier this week, the Real America’s Voice YouTube channel received a one-week suspension after it posted footage of an interview with him in which he disputes the result of the 2020 election.
The latest person to suffer because of their alignment with Trump is none other than his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.
On Thursday, June 24, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York announced it was suspending Giuliani’s license to practice law temporarily because of “demonstrably false and misleading statements” he supposedly made while representing Donald Trump.
These statements centered around various allegations of voter fraud and other electoral improprieties. This development comes as tensions over last year’s election continue to simmer across the country. Audits are still underway in a number of important voting centers, and some Pennsylvania lawmakers are pushing to undertake a fresh examination of ballots in their state.
Rudy Giuliani has claimed he did not knowingly make any false statements, and that if he said anything that was untrue, he did so mistakenly. His suspension will proceed on an interim basis pending a full disciplinary procedure.
