(TheConservativeNews.org) – On Thursday, August 27, the final night of the Republican National Convention (RNC), Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) attended President Donald Trump’s acceptance speech at the White House. Once the address was over, Paul became the target of an angry leftist mob.
He explained Friday morning on Fox & Friends that he and his wife were terrified when a crowd surrounded and chased them. They actually feared for their lives. “It was horrific,” Paul said.
The videos show Paul and his wife weren’t physically hurt in the incident. But, at one point in the attack, the police officer protecting them was shoved by someone in the crowd. Paul was able to put out his hand and help steady the officer before he fell to the ground.
The senator said the mob was shouting threats at him. Some screamed they would hurt or even kill him. Others chanted, “Say her name!” in regards to Breonna Taylor. This just showed the ignorance of the protesters because Paul actually wrote the Breonna Taylor law that ends no-knock raids. This fact was ironically lost on the out-of-control mob who intimidated Paul and his wife.
