(TheConservativeNews.org) – Record numbers of undocumented migrants, many of them unaccompanied children, continue arriving at our southern border. A number of analysts have blamed the Biden administration for this, reasoning that its liberal immigration policy is enticing more entry attempts. Of course, the Democratic narrative is quite different.
On Sunday, March 14, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared on ABC’s “This Week” program. Discussing the situation at the border, Pelosi stated the Biden administration had “inherited… a broken system at the border.” She essentially blamed Trump and his team for the entire issue, calling current efforts to control the crisis “a transition from what was wrong before to what is right.”
Online commentators were quick to call Pelosi out for this analysis. Twitter users pointed to the fact that she’s been in public office for decades; anything “inherited” by the current administration is arguably as much her fault as anyone else’s.
Nancy Pelosi’s recent contributions to political discourse have largely amounted to little more than careless finger-pointing at the Trump administration. Given the glaring flaws of the current White House team, this narrative is beginning to sound more and more hollow.
