(TheConservativeNews.org) –As she breaks record after record, Lia Thomas is outraging her fellow athletes as well as social conservatives all across the United States.
Turns out, this goes for people around world as well, who are wondering if it’s fair that a man transition into woman just so he can compete against other biological women in sports?
The New York Post said this:
“Lia Thomas blew away her competition Friday night in the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries and finals at the Zippy Invitational at the University of Akron, according to results posted by the school. In the finals, Thomas notched a winning time of 4:34.06 — good enough for a new Ivy League record. The swimmer continued smashing records on Saturday with a nearly 7-second victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.93 — representing the fastest finish in the country, the school said.”
Before becoming a transgender athlete, Thomas competed in the same sport – swimming – for the same university. Now she competes against women instead of men and almost always wins; often by margins or with times never seen before in the women’s events.
Because of her dominance in the sport, other athletes, parents of those athletes, and social conservatives across the globe are questioning the fairness of continuing to allow Thomas to compete as a woman.
