(TheConservativeNews.org) – On November 17, the House voted to censure Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) over a tweet depicting violence against another member and the president. During the hearing, fellow Republican Representative Lauren Boebert (CO) took the opportunity to call out others she felt deserved the same scrutiny.
Boebert’s fiery speech started by calling out Democrats for having nothing better to do than look for ways to be offended. She also said the House was wasting its time in censuring Gosar.
The representative then focused her comments on specific members, starting with Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who she called “the jihad squad member from Minnesota.” She said Omar paid campaign funds to her husband (noting not Omar’s “brother-husband”; the “other one”) and can still serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Boebert moved on to quickly note the actions of Representative Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) as inappropriate behavior. She was referring to Waters calling for violence in reaction to a potential not guilty verdict in the Derrick Chauvin trial.
Before being cut off for going over the one-minute allowed by the speaker pro tempore, Boebert called into question Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) having an affair with a Chinese spy and pointed out he retains access to classified briefings.
Rep. Swalwell denied the accusations against him. Rep. Omar insinuated Boebert is an insurrectionist and called her deprived.
Videos posted online of the rant accumulated over a million views soon after they went live, and by the morning of November 18, the representative’s name was trending on Twitter. There has been no comment from Boerbert’s office about the response.
