(TheConservativeNews.org) – One of the foundations of leftist politics is the idea that those who work the hardest should make the greatest sacrifices to support those who do not work at all. Judging by his proposed tax policies, it’s clear Joe Biden is a disciple of this school of thought.
Corporations and high-earning individuals are likely to bear the brunt of expanded taxation under a Biden administration. Among the projects Biden hopes to fund with this money is a massive $1.9 trillion stimulus package, which would increase unemployment benefits significantly. There may also be more generous tax credits and a third stimulus check.
Some Conservatives have been quick to express concern about Biden’s plans. On Friday, January 15, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released the following reaction via Twitter.
While Joe Biden’s proposed taxes are not as radical as some on the Left would prefer, they are a glaring departure from President Trump’s policies that led to the strongest economy in decades before COVID-19 devastated it.
We can only hope the strong Republican contingent in both houses of Congress will be enough to moderate the growing left-wing influence in Washington, DC.
