(TheConservativeNews.org) – Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is never afraid to court controversy, especially when it comes to her views on politics in the Middle East. She’s a fierce critic of Israel; her comments on the country have incurred accusations of antisemitism more than once. Last week, she even drew the ire of many figures in her own party when she compared Israel and the United States to Hamas and the Taliban, implying each had done similar damage in terms of their respective presences in the Middle East.
Now, her commentary has landed her in hot water once again.
On Tuesday, June 8, just a day after releasing the now-infamous tweet referenced above, Omar retweeted a video produced by a group that was previously the subject of an FBI investigation because of suspected terror ties. You can watch the video below.
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is regarded as a staunchly anti-Israel outfit, with the Anti-Defamation League naming it as one of the top 10 anti-Israel groups in the US. The group’s leaders have previously indicated they’re in favor of Palestine’s right to armed resistance, but ISM presents itself as “nonviolent.”
This is a clear indication that Ilhan Omar doesn’t care about the damage her anti-Israel bias is doing, both to the Israeli people and the Jewish community in America. Though she has apologized for making antisemitic remarks in the past, she doesn’t seem to want to change her problematic behavior.
