(TheConservativeNews.org) – Former pro football superstar, Herschel Walker, spoke on the first night of the Republican National Convention (RNC), and he showed the compassionate, human side of President Trump. He praised Trump’s character and backed him up on his call for standing during the national anthem.
But Walker, 58, did even more than that. He also presented a side of the president that we don’t often see. Walker told a charming story about his good friend Trump joining him and his family on a trip to Disney World. The football great described Trump in his suit riding on It’s a Small World with his kids.
Walker also said he loves and respects the national anthem, the flag, and America. However, he made a point of saying that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about social justice. Both he and Trump care about it. Walker added that the president demonstrates how much he believes in social justice and the Black community through his actions. Those actions speak louder than any BLM slogan on a jersey.
