(TheConservativeNews.org) – Mask-wearing has become one of the most divisive political issues of 2021. Keen to preserve personal freedoms, conservative figures have railed against mask mandates. However, Democrats have taken the opposite approach, stressing face coverings remain necessary (even for fully vaccinated individuals) because of the surging Delta variant. However, footage from recent private events with Democrats in attendance shows there’s a healthy dose of hypocrisy at play among Liberals here.
After former President Barack Obama’s recent birthday bash in Martha’s Vineyard, it emerged that hundreds of guests attended without masks on. The Obamas previously claimed they would scale back the event because of rising COVID rates in the area.
Also, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), a member of the radical “Squad,” was recently seen dancing at a crowded event without a mask in close proximity to many other maskless attendees. You can see footage of this in the tweet below.
Michigan’s Wayne County, where this event took place, currently has a high level of community transmission. Therefore, per CDC guidance, Tlaib should have masked up regardless of her vaccination status.
Of course, this “rules for me, not for thee” approach is nothing new. Remember last year when California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) went maskless in a California restaurant with friends, in direct contravention of his own mandate? Or, when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had her hair done without a mask in a San Francisco salon when indoor businesses weren’t even supposed to be open? Hypocrisy, indeed.
