Biden's Cabinet Position Offer REJECTED By Atlanta Mayor

( – Unsurprisingly, Joe Biden’s cabinet selection process is beginning to turn into a circus. Several of his picks have caused backlash among senior Democrats and other groups. Now, things have gotten even worse for the man who looks set to become our next president.

On Saturday, December 12, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Keisha Lance Bottoms (D), the city’s mayor, had rejected Joe Biden’s offer of a cabinet position. Bottoms stated she was committed to serving the people of Atlanta for the foreseeable future.

It’s not clear what position Biden offered Bottoms. However, being of African heritage, she would have fit nicely into Biden’s plan, as he’s committed to appointing women of color and members of other minority groups to his cabinet.

Despite the official line that Bottoms “respectfully declined” Joe Biden’s offer, this is an undeniable slap in the face for him. No local politician would turn down a federal government cabinet position unless they had serious doubts about the competence and suitability of its leader.
