(TheConservativeNews.org) – Joe Biden has finally come out of his basement to start doing some campaigning — but, it’s not going so well.
On Monday, August 31, the former vice president showed up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a staged photo-op. He was supposed to talk with supporters and deliver pizzas to some local firefighters. But it wasn’t just an easy campaign stop. Instead, he faced hecklers who had plenty to say.
A group of Pittsburgh residents mocked Biden for spending so much time in his basement. They also pointed out the Democratic nominee’s flip-flop on fracking. They even heckled him about his and his family’s corrupt dealings with foreign countries.
This latest debacle is just one sign that Biden’s campaign is falling flat. Another indication? His falling poll numbers. Earlier this summer, old Joe led President Donald Trump by an average of 10 points in the general election polls. But, since the Republican National Convention (RNC), that gap has been shrinking.
At least for now, Biden still holds the lead, but he’s only up by six points with the trend going in President Trump’s favor.
Biden is going to face these fired-up Trump supporters everywhere he goes. He better get used to the pressure or go back to hiding in the basement.
