(TheConservativeNews.org) – In remembrance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, President Joe Biden delivered remarks at the National Action Network’s annual MLK breakfast. The event was held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., and was organized by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and co-chaired by Martin Luther King III, and his wife, Arndrea Waters King. It also just happened to be Arndrea’s birthday.
“Martin the Third, we celebrate a legacy of your beloved father and mother. They worked for the beloved community. But congratulations today to the honorees including your wife, who I understand it’s her birthday today?” Biden said.
“Well look, my wife has a rule in her family, when it’s someone’s birthday, you sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ You ready?” the president went on before launching into song.
It was a mortifying moment when Biden’s eyes appeared to search out the woman’s name on his teleprompters midway through the tune in front of hundreds of guests.
“Happy birthday, dear “Vavaw,” Biden ultimately uttered.
When the song was over, Biden joked, “It’s hell turning 30, but you got to put up with it.”
Members of the King family appeared to laugh and shake their heads at the awkward moment.
Every time Biden appears in public, his mental decline is on display.
Biden is the oldest-ever president and his mental acuity frequently is a matter of public debate, though his defenders say he’s just prone to gaffes and a stutter.
It didn’t take long for critics to tweet about the event.
In the same speech, Biden attacked police officers and targeted law-abiding gun owners.
“We have to retrain cops. Why should you always shoot with deadly force? The fact is if you need to use your weapon, you don’t have to do that,” Biden said.
Biden then threatened law-abiding gun owners.
“I love my right-wing friends talking about how the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots. If you want to take on the federal government, you need some F-15s. You don’t need an AR-15,” Biden said.
This isn’t the first time Joe Biden has threatened millions of conservatives.
In August Joe Biden went off-script and threatened “right-wing Americans” in a speech in Pennsylvania.
“For those brave right-wing Americans… if you want to fight against the country, you need an F-15. You need something little more than a gun,” said Biden.
“I’m not joking!” he added.
