(TheConservativeNews.org) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is recognized as one of the most radical left-leaning voices in Congress. The 31-year-old is the chief proponent of the Green New Deal, and takes every opportunity to back causes related to “social justice.” It’s not surprising, therefore, that she would be inclined to show the kind of intolerance that has become synonymous with her party.
On Sunday, November 1, she replied to a tweet from a Trump supporter, referring to those attending a Republican event as “chumps.”
This kind of language shows how much regard Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has for those on the other side of the political aisle. Left-leaning politicians love to preach about the importance of tolerance; of course, when asked to be tolerant of views that differ from theirs, they never comply.
Politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believe they have widespread backing when they denigrate other Americans in this way. However, outside their echo chambers, the reality can be very different. The “silent majority” could surprise AOC when the results of this week’s election become clear.
