(TheConservativeNews.org) – Amazon is one of the world’s largest companies, so it’s not a surprise to see efforts to unionize it. Unfortunately, Amazon is starkly against unionization, believing it could disrupt the company’s well-oiled machine. The retail giant has launched a campaign in the face of a new push for organized change.

Amazon already crushed one union rebellion earlier in the year. Now, it’s looking at a potential rematch in Bessemer, AL. The online retailer is leaving nothing to chance this time around as it’s already intensified its efforts against the recent move.

In the past few weeks, Amazon has turned up the heat, forcing thousands of employees to attend meetings and posting anti-union signage in the bathrooms. It’s clear that Amazon is being just as aggressive in its approach as it was the last time around. People may wonder why Amazon is so against unions, but attempts to organize labor could drastically change how the online retailer manages itself.

A union could drive up overhead costs for the company, resulting in higher prices for the consumer amid the already-expensive labor shortages. The retailer made a good point in that a union can make promises, but no one can’t guarantee workers those benefits the same way that Amazon can.
